The Big Smith Brand was founded in 1916 in Carthage Missouri by the Smith family. The Smith family owned the business until 1971 when it was sold.

During the 2000’s the Big Smith brand was owned by the Walls company. So who makes the Big Smith overalls now.
Who Makes Big Smith Bib Overalls
In 2013 the Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co., better know as just Dickies, bought the Walls company. So since 2013, Dickies is now the manufacture of the Big Smith Brand bib overalls.
A lot of things have change since Dickies bought the brand. The main difference is the product selection of the Big Smith brand. For many years you could get a Big Smith brand jacket, coat, jeans, pants, shirts, and many more items.
Now the only products that are available under the Big Smith brand name are overalls. See below what is available now.
Different Types Of Big Smith Bib Overalls
You can get three different types of Big Smith bib overalls. They have the regular rigid denim overall, the stonewashed overall, and the hickory stripe overall. They also make a youth and boys overall.
One of the main features of the Big Smith overall is the many pockets on the bib. There is 5 piece pocket bib and a 2 front swing pockets. There is also a 2 patch hip pockets. They have even added a pocket for your cell phone. There is still the pocket for your ruler and for pliers.
Men’s Big Smith Rigid Denim Bib Overalls

How To Size Big Smith Overalls With Size Chart
If you have never had a pair of bib overalls, then you might not know how to get the right size. The first thing to know is that you don’t get your regular pant size. With overalls, the bib part actually goes over your stomach. The general rule of thumb is that you go 1-2 sizes above what you normally wear in a pant. For example, if you wear a 36×30 in a pant, then you would get a 38×30 or 40×30 in a overall.
